The Conference Venue
The venue for the CIP 2008 Meeting is the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre located in the capital of Santorini, Thera, overlooking the caldera and the volcano. Situated just 8 km from Santorini (Thera) National Airport, the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre is very conveniently located.
This neoclassical Mansion, with its characteristic red colour, has been renovated into a functional Conference Centre while at the same time keeping its traditional character.
It contains a main conference hall with a capacity of 220 people, with exquisite acoustics and air conditioning, halls for councils, areas for teamwork, registrations, secretarial and technical support, areas for coffee-breaks, and is equipped with all the modern audiovisual technical means.

General Information on Santorini
Santorini, part of the Cyclades islands network, is a volcanic island of immense natural beauty. World-renowned for its spectacular sunsets, many hypothesis support that the Lost City of Atlantis was on Santorini before being completely destroyed by a large volcanic eruption.
